I brought my passport as proof of eligibility for NHS care, as stated on letter must provide. I booked in at the desk and wasn't asked for it by the receptionist. I asked her when I needed to show it and she said "we don't bother, if we did we wouldn't be able to see everyone as the queue would build up". I said as an NHS worker, this is a way of getting money from people who should pay for their care. She said "yeah but you won't get the money off them".
Very caring, I wasn't expecting a stay as I was meant to be day surgery but was kept in I was reassured all the time and kept informed of everything.
All the staff on the ward I had contact with were truly amazing, I couldn't of asked for a better team to have cared for me.
My care was wonderful from the moment I came in till I went home.
Thank you so much.
I came into hospital thinking I might be having a heart attack.
The ambulance man was excellent and very thorough.
It was explained to me that I would have a series of investigations to try to eliminate different possibilities.
Although all this took time I knew why I was waiting each time.
I was looked after by 1 nurse all the time which I found reassuring.
